In the 17th century Golf was first played in North Berwick on these historic East Links. Originally laid out as a nine hole course in 1894 it was extended to 18 holes in 1906... James Braid and Ben Sayers provided the design. Suiting players of all abilities the course is a challenging, but fair, 6275 yards par 70 for men off the medal tees, and a par 73 5773 yards for ladies. The Glen enjoys a breathtaking cliff top location with many spectacular holes offering views of the Firth of Forth and its islands including the Bass Rock, the world renowned bird sanctuary.
